N(atural) L(anguage) P(rocessing) Technologies and the Importance of Corpus based Research for Kartvelology in 21st Century

The Goethe University of Frankfurt and the University of Georgia will hold an international workshop on the topic “Natural Language Processing Technologies and the Importance of Corpus based Research for Kartvelology in 21st Century”. Specialists from the Academy of Digital Humanities - Georgia and Linguistic Technologies Group will participate in the workshop, which is intended for young scientists working in Georgian studies and students of all three levels of higher education (Bachelor, Master, PhD).
Purpose:
The purpose of the workshop is to familiarize the participants with digital research methods in Digital Humanities and to promote their use; in the process of researching the Georgian language, modern technologies are introduced.
Within the framework of the workshop, the participants will learn about big data of Kartvelian studies, the architecture of the Georgian National Corpus (GNC), the search system, and the rules of using the corpus efficiently in the research process.
