Modern research methods and technologies in Kartvelian students
On October 7-8, 2022, the "Academy for Digital Humanities - Georgia", in collaboration with Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Goethe University of Frankfurt, will hold the workshop "Modern Research Methods and Technologies in Kartvelian Studies". The workshop is intended for young scientists working in Kartvelology and students of all three levels of higher education (Bachelor, Master, PhD).
Purpose:
The purpose of the workshop is to familiarize the participants with digital research methods in digital humanities and to promote the use and introduction of modern technologies in the process of researching the Georgian language.
Within the framework of the workshop, the participants will learn about big data of Kartvelian studies, the architecture of the Georgian National Corpus (GNC), the search system, and the rules of using the corpus effeciently in the research process. In addition, they will learn about the technologies (KWIC, FLEX, ELAN) used in modern Kartvelian studies to increase the efficiency of the research.

The lectures will be held by the professors of Frankfurt Goethe University and Tbilisi State University and young specialists in the field.
